Make-up giant Charlotte Tilbury teams up with F1 Academy

F1 ACADEMY has announced a milestone partnership with beauty mogul Charlotte Tilbury that sees the brand becoming the Official Partner of F1 Academy in 2024.

The globally renowned beauty empire will become the first-ever female founded beauty brand to partner with F1 Academy, in a move that is the first ever global sports sponsorship of its kind.

The collaboration embodies their mutual mission to empower, inspire confidence and encourage young women to chase their dreams.

As F1 Academy’s Official Partner, Charlotte Tilbury will use its global platform to showcase and put a spotlight on the Academy’s 15 expectational female drivers, nurturing their careers and highlighting their achievements to inspire more young women and the opportunities within the sport for women on and off the track.

Launched in 2013, the F1 Academy is an ambitious new project to develop and prepare female drivers aged between 16-25 to progress to higher levels of competition within the sport.

The academy will provide the young female drivers with more access to track time, racing and testing and provide them with technical, physical, and mental support needed to progress into Formula 3 and pursue their Formula 1 careers.

Speaking on the partnership Susie Wolff MBE, Managing Director, F1 Academy said: “We want young women and girls to feel confident to chase their dreams, no matter the odds.

“We are on a mission to transform access to our sport, celebrate trailblazing female pioneers in our industry, and inspire a new generation of young women to pursue a career in motorsport.”

According to Formula 1, there have only ever been five female F1 drivers in the sports history, yet there has never been more than 5% female participation in motorsport. Even though, 40% of F1 fans are women and 80% of fans do believe women will be racing within F1 in the next 10 years.
